The National Honor Society at Purcell High School is ran under Kaisha Mathis, who the students love working for. The amount of NHS members has risen this year due to how many juniors are in it. National Honor Society does a few different things throughout the year. The biggest thing they have done is hold the Veterans Day Assembly. Recently, they participated in stuffing stockings for Soldiers Angels. The students worked to collect items such as, hot chocolate, granola bars, and others items similar to those. Along with that, NHS also works the Okeyha Mother’s club annual home tours. All of the students in NHS work hard all year for service hours that are required. They volunteer at a few additional things to meet this goal. The National Honor Society has done many things throughout 2018 and will continue to do so in the new year.
