Purcell’s cheer squad is twenty four strong and ready to take on this years football season at Conger Field.

For the last few months, the PHS cheer squad has been preparing for Regionals. The squad is also hoping to make it to State and continue their season at Gameday State and ASC Nationals.

The squad has been focusing on school spirit this year. Senior Vivian Steiner states “My favorite thing about being a cheerleader at Purcell is Friday Night Lights, pep rallies, and how kind all the girls on the squad are.”

The squad is really looking forward to the 2018-2019 season. Vivian Steiner states “This year I am really excited to see our squad improve and everyone grow as leaders.” They have been working hard and will continue to as the season goes on. Senior Alyssa Richards states “We always practice on Sundays and Wednesdays and sometimes Saturdays.”

Regionals will be at 2 o’clock in Choctaw on September 15th and State will be the following weekend in Tulsa.
